PACE Jr. All-Star Pom and Jazz team win at national competition

The PACE Jr. All-Star Pom and Jazz teams from Huntington Beach won

its sixth consecutive Universal Dance Association title at the recent

National Dance Team competition held at Walt Disney Work in Orlando, Fla.

The Pom team, comprised of 13 members ages 11-14, was among 18 squads

nation wide competing in the division, and the Jazz unit was one of 14

teams vying for the division crown. Members of the PACE Jr. All-Star Pom

and Jazz teams are Morgan Wahl, Amanda Marietta, Courtney Poole, Jessica

Stones, Karli Ticehurst, Alyssa Walker, Natalie Johnson, Justine Abaoag,

Katie Vecchione, Teri Newton, Nicole Reyes, Lauren Pettigrew, and Kelly

Peterson.

The All-Star team currently is in preparation for another national

competition, which will be held Feb. 26-27 in Minneapolis, where they

will also be defending their titles.

Last December, PACE, under the direction of coaches Dan Sapp and Mike

Reynolds, captured first place at the American Grand Championships in Las

Vegas.
