HOLLAND ON:

* STUDENT SAFETY:

We need to hold teachers, principals and admin-

istration accountable to modernize our schools districtwide. We

need to provide a healthy environment in all classrooms.

* RAISING STUDENT TEST SCORES:

To have the most experienced and qualified teachers and prepare

our students for the 21st century by including computer training for

all classes.

* FISCAL IMPROVEMENTS TO THE DISTRICT:

To set clear priorities in administering the district's budget and

to ensure all schools are improved equally without tax increases.

* BIGGEST ISSUE FACING THE DISTRICT:

Ocean View School District has several major issues facing it:

1. Major lawsuits from the community

2. Poor relations with several school communities

3. Lack of accountability of administration to the school board

and the board of the electorate

4. The large debt for the four new gyms that is taking money meant

for modernization of 11 other elementary schools

5. Safe and healthy environments for all students and staff
