Fine Arts Gallery will continue to show an exhibit titled "Asian

Art of Adornment" through Nov. 8. The collection will feature

hand-woven and hand-dyed textiles and objects of adornment from

Vietnam and the Indonesian Archipelago. The gallery is open from 10

Downtown Business Assn. will host the 19th annual Main Street

Halloween Celebration. Children will enjoy trick-or-treating, rides

FRIDAY

The Huntington Beach

Playhouse will open "The Foreigner," a comedy by Larry Shue.

Directed by Tom Titus, the play is about a pathologically shy young

man who everyone believes can't speak English. He overhears things

he'd rather not hear. The play will run through Nov. 17 at the

Huntington Beach Public Library Theatre, 7111 Talbert Ave.

Golden West College

Mainstage Theater will present "Holiday" by Philip Barry. The play

will be performed at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday

Centerfield's Sports Bar and Grill will hold Soapbox Saturday

Huntington Beach Host

Lions Club will hold the inaugural Shelter for the Homeless

Charity Golf Tournament. Registration and a continental breakfast

will start at 9 a.m. The shotgun start is at 11 a.m. The event will

conclude with a cocktail awards reception at 5:30 p.m. The event will

take place at the Black Gold Golf Club, 17681 Lakeview Ave., Yorba
