The Orange County Coastkeeper is looking for volunteers as the

organization expands the number of creek sites it monitors in the

Grace Lutheran Preschool will hold a face-painting fundraiser, a

giant slide and visitors from the Huntington Beach Police Department.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the preschool, 16081

The Earth Day Beach Cleanup will be sponsored by the Huntington

Beach Maintenance Department and Simple Green. Gloves and plastic

bags will be provided and parking will be free for all volunteers.

The cleanup will be held from 9 a.m. to noon around the north side of

the Huntington Beach Pier near the intersection of Main Street and

SUNDAY

The Huntington Harbour Philharmonic Juniors Fashion Show will

feature original music and a silent auction produced by the 14- to 18

year-old volunteer members of the Philharmonic Juniors program. The

show is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Huntington Seacliff

MONDAY

A support group for adult children of Alzheimer's patients will be

held. The 7:30 p.m. meeting will take place at Community United

WEDNESDAY

Huntington Harbour Republican Women Federated will hold a general

meeting. Mayor Cathy Green and City Treasurer Shari Freidenrich will

discuss the state of the city. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m., the

meeting will start at 10 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon. The

meeting will be held at Meadowlark Golf Course located at 16782

Graham St. The meeting will be free, the cost for lunch will be $15.

Inventors Forum, a support group for inventors, will meet from 7
