William Shakespeare's classic tragedy, "Hamlet" will be performed

at the Golden West College Mainstage Theater, 15744 Golden West

The PER/spectives on Art series, presented by Christopher Miles,

will hold the final lecture in the series, focusing on California art

and artists from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Huntington Beach Art Center,

538 Main St. The lecture will be presented in a coffeehouse setting

SATURDAY

Susan Rios, an artist who has been painting for more than 25

years, will be in Surf City from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Pierside Gallery,

300 Pacific Coast Highway, Suite 107A. Pierside owner and art

collector, Joe Rubin will auction off one of Susan's paintings to

benefit the Nourish the Children Initiative, as well as donate a

percentage of the show's proceeds. The day will consist of the

auction, free refreshments and the opportunity for Susan to

personally sign her artwork and pose for pictures. Information: (714)

In a League of Their Own, two group exhibitions of various media

presented by the Huntington Harbor Art Assn. and the Huntington Beach
