Well, look no further, the Independent has compiled a list of last-minute gifts you can find downtown that show the warm spirit of Huntington Beach during the coldest part of the year. Enjoy.

The Huntington Beach Pier Christmas ornament -- $22.50

This is one of the hottest items at the new HB Store on Main Street, said co-owner Joe Shaw, who hawks popular doormats, clothing and decorations all adorned with a privately designed "HB" logo.

"We wanted to have an HB ornament that was unique to Huntington Beach," Shaw said. "Something you could send to your relatives on the East Coast to show them what our Christmas weather is like."

The Pier Christmas ornament is available only at the HB Store in Plaza Almeria at 301 Main Street.

Wings over Bolsa bird calendar -- $10

A dazzling display of the migratory birds that call the Bolsa Chica wetlands their home. All money raised from the sale of the calendar goes to the Bolsa Chica Land Trust, which has successfully fought to save 103 acres of the lower Bolsa Chica mesa.

Calendars can be purchased at Jan's Health Bar at 501 Main St.

Doggie Coat from Dog Beach group -- $15

There's nothing else like it in Orange County -- a mile-long stretch of sand where dogs are free to roam and play. A favorite of mutt lovers everywhere, Dog Beach is the quintessential destination for anyone with a pooch.

The nonprofit that runs dog beach sells dozens of clothing items for humans and animals, but a hot item this year is the doggie coat to keep your mutt warm. Proceeds help Dog Beach stay open and pay for the 17-person staff that keeps it clean. All Dog Beach clothing will be available on Saturday at Dog Beach near the intersection of Golden West Street and Pacific Coast Highway from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Dean Torrence limited-edition prints -- $250 to $350

He helped write the tune "Surf City U.S.A." with musical partner Jan Berry, and now he's capturing the Huntington Beach spirit with his limited-edition vintage prints, on sale at the HB Gallery at the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa.
