Mira Costa's Mikah Maly-Karros, the daughter of former Dodger Eric Karros, led the Bay League in scoring, rebounding and blocks. She's averaging 18 points per game.

Junior guard Wahine Kepilino (11.3), freshman guard Kelly Peterson (10.7) and junior guard/forward Simone Ibbotson (10.7) are averaging double figures in scoring for Edison.

"We're excited for the challenge to play them again," Edison coach Cory Kelly said. "We know they're a good team, and we're playing really well right now."

Division III-AA

Golden West League champion Ocean View (21-5) drew a first-round bye. The Seahawks, the division's No. 8 seed, will begin playoff action with a second-round home game against the winner of tonight's first-round game between San Gabriel Valley League runner-up Gahr and La Quinta of Westminster, which tied for third-place in the Garden Grove League. Gahr is seeded ninth.

"We have a young team, but we have the tools to make a deep run in the tournament," Ocean View coach Jim Harris said. "The key to our success will be our ability to keep turnovers down."
