Things went just about as perfect as possible for the Ocean View Little League All-Star team in its District 62 tournament opener against Costa Mesa American.

So well, in fact, that Ocean View needed just four innings to get its first postseason win under its belt, a 22-0 romp Saturday at Robinwood Little League.

Ocean View scored five runs in the opening inning, four more in the second, a whopping nine in the third and concluded the runaway with a four-run fourth inning before the game was halted by the mercy rule.
