Store hosts ‘Shopping with a Purpose’ event

A local boutique will host a “Shopping with a Purpose” event to benefit the National Charity League’s Pacific Coast Chapter.

Customers at the Aesthetyx boutique in the lobby of the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa, 21500 Pacific Coast Hwy., from 1 to 8 p.m. May 28 will help fund scholarships and grants for local recipients.

The store owners, Judy and Charles Compton, will celebrate one year of business by donating 10% of the day’s proceeds to the chapter’s Philanthropy Fund.

Local jewelry artisan Anna Salman will show her Baltic Treasures collection of amber jewelry. There also will be refreshments, raffles, complimentary valet parking and gift wrapping by the league.
