The Fountain Valley Modern Technology School was hit with a class action complaint for allegedly misrepresenting the accreditation of its Ultrasound program.
Three graduates of the program are claiming they were led to believe the program was accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs and they would be able to sit for the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography licensing exam after graduating.
The claim was filed Aug. 13, and the school has yet to respond.
Floare Gheta, Yolanda Veramontes and Lynda Kendall spent roughly two years and thousands of dollars completing the program, according to the claim. All three claim representatives told them the program was accredited and they would be placed in internships near their homes.
