Classrooms to be cleaned twice a week.Starting Oct 13 2009

At the board meeting the board members approved to cut three more night custodians  that being said the classrooms at Moffett  Elementary School and Hawes Elementary School will be cleaned every other night and Perry  Elementary School along with Eader  Elementary School site may have their classrooms cleaned every two days.

Without proper custodial care, even our newly remodeled classrooms will soon lose their luster.

Did you know the condition of our educational facilities is not a superficial concern? Research shows there is a direct correlation between facility condition and student achievement, facility condition and occupant ,health facility condition and student behavior, facility condition and student safety, just to name a few

At Moffett Elementary School they do not have a cafitorium for the students to in inside. Our students eat out side in a patio area on lunch benches, So let’s just say it’s a rainy day on Friday our students well eat their food in their classrooms that day and if that day falls on a day when our school does not have a custodian that night all of that food and debris will be there left on the floors and carpet Friday night ,Saturday night ,Sunday night and Monday all day till our custodian arrive at 2pm to vacuum the floors isn’t this just a wonderful thing to have your kids come back to on Monday to learn in these deplorable conditions!
