A Garden Grove man suspected in an attempted murder case was supposed to be arraigned today, but the arraignment was put off until January.
A police investigation uncovered the identity of Shawn Michael Espinoza, 39, who is suspected of being the shooter in a attempted murder and robbery incident Dec. 2, officials said. He will be charged with one felony count each of attempted murder, use of a firearm, second-degree attempted murder and street terrorism, according to court documents. He is expected to be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. Jan. 15 in courtroom W-15 at the West Justice Center.
Espinoza is believed to have confronted a male victim outside his Huntington Beach house around 10 p.m. Espinoza allegedly demanded the man’s wallet, stating he owed somebody money, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.
