The Junior Pee Wee Green Charger cheer squad of the Huntington Beach Pop Warner Football League traveled to Las Vegas the first weekend of February to compete in the Jamz Nationals Cheer competition. The girls competed in two categories, Performance and Show. The team placed first in the Performance category to become Jamz National Champions. They also placed second in the Show category.
The girls cheered from August to January and worked hard for the competition in Las Vegas. The team members are Jessalyn Alvarado, Kaylie Flowers, Charissa Martinez, Madison Moses, Alyssa Sandford, Briana Spainhour, Amanda Sprowls and Alison Steinmetz. The team is coached by Ruth Sprowls and Annelise Siebel.

Gold Coast two games from State Cup title: The Huntington Beach Gold Coast Extreme Elite girls’ under-12 team faced strong competition from Silver and Silver Elite teams in the president’s bracket of the State Cup tournament.
