PBS SoCal, which operated out of Golden West College as KOCE-TV for nearly 40 years, has added seven community and business leaders to its governing board.
The new additions to the KOCE-TV Foundation Board of Directors are Julia Argyros, a supporter of education and arts organizations and the wife of former U.S. Ambassador George Argyros; Emile Haddad, the founder of Five Point Communities Management; Bill O'Hare, a partner in the law firm Snell & Wilmer; Jim McCluney, the chief executive of Emulex; Robert Romney, the founder of Zenographics; Kelly Mazzo, an executive board member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Laguna Beach; and Maureen Zehntner, the former chief executive of UC Irvine Medical Center.
"This may be the largest and strongest slate of individuals ever to join the foundation board, " PBS SoCal Chief Executive Mel Rogers said in a release. "The wisdom and influence of this group will provide immeasurable strength and power to what was already a very good board."
