The arraignment of a man who was arrested after calling Huntington Beach police to report he shot his father was continued to June 17.
Jeremy Dwayne Martin, 35, is charged with killing his father after the two had an argument over his firearm, which he kept at home, according to the Orange County district attorney's office.
If convicted, Martin faces up to 50 years in prison. He is being held on $1-million bail. His arraignment was originally scheduled for May 24 at the Central Jail in Santa Ana, said Farrah Emami, the DA's spokeswoman.
