SATURDAY: OMC Gallery for Contemporary Art, 7561 Center Ave., No. 32, Huntington Beach, hosts a reception for its "Another Tribute to Black on White" exhibit, which is on display through Oct. 1. BBQ Extravaganza

The Orange County BBQ Bonanza, a four-day event featuring live music, children's entertainment and barbecued food, takes place at the Fountain Valley Sports Complex, 16400 Brookhurst St. Hours are 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and admission is $5, with children 12 and under free if accompanied by an adult. Free admission is offered 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday with a business card. Various menu items range from $2 to $25. The Huntington Beach Lions Club hosts a shred-a-thon at Orange Community Bank, 6491 Edinger Ave., Huntington Beach.
