Old World Village hosts its 34th annual Oktoberfest, featuring German music, food, dancing and more, at 7561 Center Ave., Huntington Beach. High School Festival

Ocean View High School hosts a Fundraising Community Festival, featuring music, food, games, a silent auction, a bounce house and more, at 17071 Gothard St., Huntington Beach. Spaghetti Dinner

Sts. Simon & Jude Catholic Church hosts a back-to-school spaghetti dinner in the campus' Colman Hall, 20444 Magnolia St., Huntington Beach. The event is from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and features live music along with a menu of salad, spaghetti, sausage, garlic bread, ice cream and desserts. Admission is $10 for adults at the door, $8 in advance, $6 for teenagers, $3 for spaghetti and sausage for children 6 to 12 and $2 for children for spaghetti only. Self-Management Class

The Chronic Disease Self-Management Program offers a free six-week self-management class at FountainGlen Seacliff Clubhouse, 7181 Garden Glen Court, Huntington Beach. The class runs from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Fridays and covers nutrition, medication, relaxation techniques, goal-setting and more. Enrollment is limited to 20 people. Coastal Cleanup Day

The Huntington Beach Wetlands Conservancy takes part in California Coastal Cleanup Day, assembling at 9 a.m. in the back parking lot of the Wetlands & Wildlife Care Center, 21900 Pacific Coast Hwy., Huntington Beach. Bring sturdy shoes, gloves and sun protection.
