Huntington Welcomes Sunset

The Sunset Beach Community Assn. and the city of Huntington Beach hosts a short welcoming ceremony at 7 p.m. in the lot next to the Fire Station/Community Center, 16865 12th St., before the regularly scheduled community meeting. Mayor Joe Carchio is expected to give an official welcome and present the association with a city flag and plaque, among other items. Remarks will be made by the Sunset Beach Community Association Board of Directors and other Huntington Beach dignitaries.


Mixed Media Show

"Visual Integrity," a show featuring work by Caesar Alzate Jr., Jennifer Reifsneider, Shiva Aliabadi, Janet Adams, Chris Sullivan, Carolyn Machado, Anne Christensen, Laurie Hassold, Thinh Nguyen, Jeff Gillette and David Jang, is on display at the Coastline Community College Art Gallery, 10156 Adams Ave., Huntington Beach. Self-Management Class

The Chronic Disease Self-Management Program offers a free six-week self-management class at FountainGlen Seacliff Clubhouse, 7181 Garden Glen Court, Huntington Beach. The class runs from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Fridays and covers nutrition, medication, relaxation techniques, goal-setting and more. Enrollment is limited to 20 people.
