A man was injured while trying to put the fire out using a fire extinguisher. Two other people were injured but were not taken to the hospital, Lopez said.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation on Wednesday.
Firefighters responded to the fire at the three-story Harbour Lights Apartments, 4352 Pickwick Circle, around 10 a.m. The blaze was under control by 10:43 a.m.
