Huntington Beach started the second half of Sunset League boys' volleyball action Tuesday with another sweep and maintained its status as the league's top team.
Sixth-ranked Huntington took a 25-16, 25-17, 25-15 victory from visiting Fountain Valley. Also Tuesday, second-place Newport Harbor scored a 30-28, 25-19, 25-15 win from Edison and Los Alamitos outlasted Marina, 25-23, 25-21, 15-25, 25-18.
Huntington improved to 6-0 in league and 16-3 overall after sweeping visiting Fountain Valley for the second time this season. The win was the 11th straight for the Oilers, who received a match-high 12 kills from senior outside hitter Shayon Aram. Sophomore outside hitter Brendan Sander added nine kills.
