Mayor's Breakfast

Fountain Valley Planning & Building Director Andy Perea gives a presentation on "Code Enforcement: Working to Keep Fountain Valley a Nice Place to Live" at the city's Mayor's Breakfast, held in the Saltzer Conference Room of Fountain Valley Regional Hospital, 17100 Euclid St., Fountain Valley. Poke Restaurant Opening

Marine View Spring Fling

Marine View Middle School's music department presents its annual Spring Fling at 7:15 p.m. in the school's auditorium, 5682 Tilburg Drive, Huntington Beach. The show features the school's jazz ensemble, band, dance team and choir. 'A Gathering of Friends'

The Alzheimer's Family Services Center will hold its 12th annual "A Gathering of Friends" gala from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach, 21100 Pacific Coast Highway. Mr. Fountain Valley

The first Mr. Fountain Valley Pageant takes place at the Fountain Valley Recreation Center, 16400 Brookhurst St. The event starts at 5:45 p.m. and includes dinner, raffles, a no-host bar and a competition between five challengers — Tim Davis of Fountain Valley Kiwanis, Marc Ecker of the Fountain Valley Educational Foundation, Frank McDowell of Colette's Children's Home, Dave Osborn of the Kelly Osborn Memorial Scholarship Fund and David Truong of the Fountain Valley Community Foundation — for the crown. Admission is $30 presale and $50 at the door; audience members may also buy $1 votes for contestants. Ages 21 and older only.
