The Fountain Valley Twins scored early, built a big lead, and then went on to get the best of the Fountain Valley Angels, 13-2, in the opening game of the league's Majors Division best-of-three series at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley.
An RBI single in the top of the first inning by Luke Arnold started the game off for the Twins. The lead expanded to 5-0 in the top of the fourth when Tanner Motske started the inning with a line drive home run to center field. It was the first home run of the season for Motske. Pablo Crespo had a two-run single and later scored on an infield ground out by Chanson Ching. It was the first of two singles in the game for Crespo.
The Twins increased their lead to 13-0 in the top of the sixth behind a two-run double by Grant Mixer and RBI hits Jake Bitzer, Luke Logan and Trenton Ching.
