A female pedestrian was struck and killed Monday evening in Huntington Beach, police said.
The incident took place about 6:27 p.m. at the intersection of Warner Avenue and Sims Lane, where the woman was struck by a 2001 blue Isuzu Rodeo SUV driven by an 82-year-old Huntington Beach man.
The woman, identified as 20-year-old Tanya Freed of Huntington Beach, was treated at the scene by paramedics and transported to Huntington Beach Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
