Myers, who went on to be named offensive player of the game, also had a hand in the South's third score when, following a pass reception, he pitched the ball back to Buzzy Yokoyama of Mission Viejo, who then ran 38 yards to the end zone.
Hadlock also got into the scoring act in first half when he returned an interception 19 yards for a touchdown to make it 26-0.
The prep football programs at Edison and Fountain Valley are hosting two big summer tournaments in the coming week.
The Battle at the Beach passing league tournament starts at 9 a.m. Saturday at Edison and includes some of the top programs in the Southland. Sixteen teams will compete in pool play and tournament play format. The teams are: Edison, Centennial/Corona, Long Beach Poly, Mater Dei, El Toro, Santa Margarita, Tesoro, Los Alamitos, Valencia/Valencia, La Habra, St. John Bosco, South Hills, Narbonne, San Clemente, JSerra and Etiwanda.
"We have a lot of really good teams competing again in the tournament," Edison Coach Dave White said. "There should be some real good competition.
"Last year, we finally got Long Beach Poly in it, and then they won the whole thing. They're back again this year. We also got Santa Margarita this year, and they are ranked first or second in the state. We also have El Toro, whose quarterback (Conner Manning) last year broke Matt Barkley's record (Orange County passing yards, single season). It's going to be a tough tournament."
Edison opens tournament play at 9 a.m. against Etiwanda, which is coached by Tom Leach, a former assistant on White's coaching staff at Edison.
The Fountain Valley Linemen Challenge starts at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Barons Coach John Shipp said that between 12 and 16 teams are expected for this year's tourney, which has linemen competing in six events: bench press, power clean, truck push, obstacle course, Ironman relay and a tug of war.
"This is a great event for linemen who put in a good amount of work to get better, but mostly get little recognition," Shipp said. "This is a chance for them to show their skills. It's a very competitive event."
