Jane Goodall coming to UCI
We are thrilled for the rare opportunity to see international icon Jane Goodall at the Living Peace Series presented by The Center for Living Peace and UC Irvine on Oct. 2 at UCI.
Goodall, founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and UN Messenger of Peace, is the sixth speaker in the Living Peace Series promoting the work of organizations and international leaders who are making "Good Happen."
Each speaker is creating dialogue and action that leads to a more peaceful, connected and sustainable world. Reserve your ticket at http://www.livingpeace.uci.edu.
Goodall will share her observations and experiences with the Gombe chimpanzees, as well as give the latest update from the Gombe National Park in Tanzania, East Africa. She will also provide insights into the works of the Jane Goodall Institute, and discuss threats facing the planet.
There will be a raffle to win a VIP ticket for an intimate evening with Goodall starting Sept. 1 to 28. Raffle entries will be accepted via mail, in person or by fax. Download the entry form at http://www.goodhappens.org.
Jane Goodall's event at UCI will be at the UCI Student Center, Pacific Ballroom. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. Students, faculty and staff can attend for free. General seating costs $8.
