Mercy rule: A Restaurant, 3334 W. Coast Hwy., Newport Beach, has announced a "Chef's Mercy" dinner menu featuring aphrodisiac ingredients. Chef Jonathan Blackford will provide a surprise five- to six-course menu at 6 and 8:30 p.m., for just six couples per seating. The meal is $150 per couple.
