An Orange County district attorney prosecutor and his wife were arrested over the holidays on suspicion of domestic violence. David Brent, 53, and his wife, Roshawn Brent, 27, were arrested in the late hours of Christmas Day after allegedly injuring each other. David Brent, an assistant deputy district attorney and the head of the homicide unit, has been working for the district attorney’s office for 24 years, said Susan Kang Schroeder, spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office.

Veteran attacked during holiday A 77-year-old Huntington Beach resident is in critical condition after being attacked and robbed at a Union Bank parking lot at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday. Cecil L. Warren, a maintenance worker for 25 years at the bank on Beach Boulevard, was unconscious in the parking lot for about 30 minutes with severe head trauma before being discovered by a passerby, Lt. Janet Perez said. The assailants reportedly stole Warren's wallet, which contained cash and credit cards.
