The Hornets, a boys Under-10 AYSO Region 56 soccer team, collected three recent shutout victories, two of which came by shutout. Riley Hansler opened the scoring in a 2-0 win over Tsunami by sending a penalty kick into the corner of the net, and Nick Stephens secured the win with a shot off a well-placed corner kick by Hansler. The Hornets' defensive line of Aashik Chela, Matt Abad-Santos, and Tanner Stansbury held off a strong Tsunami offensive attack to preserve the win. On Saturday, Bradley Hansen, assisted by Jordan Luevano, scored off another precise corner kick by Hansler to lift the Hornets past the Big Blue Wrecking Crew, 1-0.
