The sons of Huntington Beach residents Clay and Suzie Lindsey have recently completed individual achievements. On Friday Ryan Lindsey earned an associates degree from Golden West College. He plans to continue his education at the Art Institute of California to study multi-media and Web development. Wesley N. Lindsey graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center in Cape May, New Jersey on May 21. His first assignment will be to the cutter Alex Haley stationed in Kodiak, Alaska where his duties will include law enforcement and search and rescue.

Huntington Beach resident Mike Trujillo won second place in the Best of Show competition at the Strawberry Funfest and Classic Car Show in Costa Mesa on May 23 for his 1937 Ford. He won a plaque and a $200 cash prize ... Bryn Christopher Fedderson, of Boy Scout Troop 492 in Huntington Beach, earned the Eagle Scout Award, the organization's highest rank. At 13, Bryn supervised his community project of building and painting bookshelves for the newly renovated library at Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church.

Air Force Airman Brian Collins has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. During training his studies included organization, customs, drill and ceremony marches and special training in human relations. Collins is the son of Anne and stepfather Bob Atkins of Huntington Beach and Michael Collins of Torrance. He is a 1995 graduate of Huntington Beach High School. . . .
