A 3-2 win over FD All-Stars vaults the inline hockey team to a title.The Skulls held off a late charge by the FD All-Stars to claim a 3-2 victory at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach and the Norris Division championship. Two goals by Evan Gray and one by William Huffman, with Andrew Huffman getting two assists and Matthew Chism one assist, gave the Skulls a 3-0 lead through two periods. The FD All-Stars made a game of it in the third period, where they scored twice on goals by Chad Sasaki and Sean Cullinane.

The Breakers capped their postseason run by winning the Norris Division championship, blanking the Stars in the final, 4-0, at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. Chris Pabitzky scored twice with an assist and Nolan Strout and Owen Osborne also scored. Ian Gibbons, Mackie Albertson and Ethan Michaelis also recorded assists. Jesse Mellma had 19 saves. Blake Miller had 20 saves for the Stars. In other championship finals: Lemieux Division Wings 6, Stealth 4 A three-goal differential in the second period proved to be the difference for the Wings in their win over Stealth.

Jonathan Pichedwatana scored off an assist from Alexander Gomez in the third period to break a tie and send the Monstars to a 4-3 victory over the Bulldogs at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. It was the second consecutive goal scored by Pichedwatana, who tied the Bulldogs' David Wellander for scoring honors as each finished with two goals in the Norris Division match. Nikolas St. Onge and Justin Pichedwatana also scored for the Monstars, and Jake Grothjan finished with 30 saves.

The HB Devils came up with a big defensive push in their Norris Division meeting with the Blue Diamonds, resulting in a 5-0 victory at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. Austin Raban recorded 21 saves to keep the Blue Diamonds off the scoreboard. The HB Devils' scoring consisted of goals by Kyle Dubuque, Ryan Piscotty, Kevin Johnson, Brandon Sizemore and Daniel Burkhardt. In other Norris Division action: Bruins 3, HB Devils 1 Manny Banuelos scored the eventual winning goal in the second period, and Philip Pascarelli posted an insurance score in the third period as the Bruins defeated the HB Devils.

Tyler Wilford and Matthew Manning combined to score nine goals, and the Rink Rats scored from start to finish in defeating the Bears, 11-5, in a Norris Division match at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. The pair scored the first seven goals for the Rink Rats. Wilford led all scorers with five goals, and Manning finished with four. Completing the scoring for the Rink Rats were Danielle Dapello and Kirsten Schaefer, each with one goal. Jeremy Williams picked up a pair of assists, and Schaefer and Brittney Cristini each had one assist.

Nick Hoskins came up with 29 saves and Justin Campbell led the scoring attack of The Bears as they clawed their way past the Diablos, 5-2, in a Norris Division affair at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. Hoskins recorded 12 of his 29 saves in the third quarter where he and The Bears defense shutout the Diablos. Campbell led all scorers with three goals. Adam Khouri and Conner Reeves also scored, James Shramek had a pair of assists and Brandon Doyle had an assist.

Swat rolled from start to finish in its Norris Division match with the Falcons Wednesday and scored a 5-0 victory at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. Kyle Kowalski led all scorers with three goals. Peter Skowron and Joe Gibb each scored once, Gibb also had a save and the Swat defense recorded the shutout via 20 saves by Savannah Patton. Thomas Wirth had 32 saves for the Falcons. In other Norris Division action Breakers 6, Lightning 1 The Breakers scored the final four goals of the match to pull away from the Lightning.

The Stars scored twice in every period and had more than enough on offense to complete a 6-3 victory over the Slashers in a Norris Division match at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. Aaron Cree and Joseph Loya led the Stars in scoring with three and two goals, respectively. Nick Callanan also scored and Loya and Connor Mellema each had an assist. Ryan Osterkamp scored twice, Alexander Gomez once and Tanner Osterkamp and Derreck Chang had assists for the Slashers.

Behind a defense that didn't yield a single goal and an offense that came on strong over the final two periods, Dry Ice scored a 6-0 shutout over the Hot Shotz in Norris Division action at the Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center. Dry Ice took a 1-0 lead in the first quarter when Alexander Gomez scored off an assist from Brayden Moore. Goals by Drew Truxaw and another by Gomez, which also came off a feed from Moore, increased the lead to 3-0 through two periods. Alex Buyan, Truxaw and Alec Dahl all scored goals in the third period, when Truxaw assisted two of those goals, and Buyan and Connor Cudeback shared an assist.

The Wolfpack Blue, a local boys? Under-12 club soccer team, has secured promotion to Silver Elite by winning the Coast Soccer League Silver South bracket. Wolfpack Blue won the bracket with a record of 10-2-2. Team members are Devin Anderson, Jeremy Dorff, Austin Emrich, Davis Freud, Connor Gordon, Evan Hill, Jose Huerta, Daniel Klemm, Hunter Kling, Jaiden Lottes, Jake McKinley, Kyle McNeill, Daniel Neff and Max Simon. The team is coached by Jeff Schofield, who also is the boys?

The Sharks opened up a 2-0 lead on the Penguins in their Adams Division match Monday and went on to post a 3-2 victory at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. Cole Obenauer scored all three goals for the Sharks, each unassisted. Geoffrey Campbell recorded 24 saves. Brody MacDonald first put the Penguins on the scoreboard with a goal in the second period, then fed Dylan MacDonald for their final score in the third period. Matthew Gomez had 18 saves. ?

The Hot Shots fell behind the Lightning Blades in the early stages of Saturday?s Campbell Division title game but stormed back to score the final six goals of the match to claim a 6-1 victory and the title at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. Jake Coon scored off an assist from Konnor Schnack just one minute into the contest to give the Lightning Blades a 1-0 lead. The Hot Shots drew even when Shane Martinez scored at the 10:09 mark, then used goals by Jordon Corwin and David Cortez before the first period ended ?

Drew Truxaw and the Conspiracy defense played shutout hockey while the offense scored in each period in a 3-0 Campbell Division victory over the Rangers at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. In other Campbell Division action Lightning 3, Mad Dogs 1 The Lightning put the game away against the Mad Dogs when Joel Steele scored an unassisted goal with 1:15 to play. Lightning Blades 3, Jaguars 1 A 2-0 start to the match proved to be the difference for the Lightning Blades in their win over the Jaguars.

Goals by Cassie Moan and Konnor Schnack in the first period, followed by scores by Christa Renfrew and Joel Steele in the second, gave the Stars their 4-0 cushion. Both teams scored a single goal in the final period as Schnack netted one more for the Stars and Trent Berkenkamp for the Jaguars. Steele also had an assist and Justin Pichedwatana recorded 11 saves.

Karson Derego opened and closed the scoring for the Sharks Monday in their Smythe Division encounter with the Predators during a 5-1 victory at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. Derego scored the Sharks' final three goals to close with four goals overall. Alec Lang scored the other goal, Chandler Clark had two assists and Logan Bechtold had one assist. Caden Thompson scored off an assist from Ricky Meyer to account for the Predators' scoring. In other Smythe Division action: Panthers 8, Young Americans 1 The Panthers scored the final seven goals of the match to run away from the Young Americans on Monday.

The Flyers parlayed a big second-period offensive output into the turning point of its Norris Division match against the Misfits and went on to record a 10-5 victory at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. The Flyers outscored the Misfits, 4-1, in the second period to push their lead to 7-3. Garrett Zolg, Levi Pompoco, Christian Pompoco and Matthew Legrand all scored two goals and Jake Gealy and John Keegan each scored once. Zolg and Levi Pompoco each had two assists and Gealy and Christian Pompoco each had one assist.
