Peter Skowron netted the only goal in an overtime shootout ? his only goal of the match ? and it turned out to be the title-clincher, allowing the Young Guns to slip past the Puckhogs, 4-3, in the Norris Division postseason championship final Saturday at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. Matthew Manning, Ryan Beardshear and Charley Lowe also scored for the Young Guns. The Puckhogs? scoring included goals by Tyler Donelson, Marlin Liberatore and Amanda Vongries.

The Strom closed strong in their showdown against Philadelphia in the championship match of the Patrick Division postseason playoffs, and used that finish to post a 6-2 title-clinching victory at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. The Storm led, 2-1, after the first period but pulled away from there and sealed the win by outscoring Philadelphia, 2-0, in the final period. Dylan Miller led the Storm offense with three goals and two assists. Aaron Baca-Chavez and Eric Schilb each had a goal and assist and Tov Johnson scored once.

The Avalanche broke open a tight Lemieux Division match against the Rampage by scoring four goals in the final period to pull away to a 7-1 victory in division championship playoff action at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. Jimmy Hocker, Craig Landon, Andrew Wade and Casey Childers posted goals in a third period where the Avalanche outscored the Rampage, 4-0. Childers finished with a match-high three goals. Joel Dapello also scored. Childers, Wade and Ben Piontkowski each had two assists and Hocker and Dapello each had one. Andrew Skowron recorded 19 saves.

The Thunder scored the final four goals of its Patrick Division match against the Sharp Shooters and went on to pull out a 6-3 victory at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. A goal by Chris Weldon and two more by Michael Thomas in the second quarter allowed the Sharp Shooters to take a 3-2 lead. The Thunder also scored its two goals in the frame, getting one each from David Schenker and Garrick Langer. In the fourth quarter, Schenker scored consecutive goals, followed by scores from Jacob Gonzales and Langer to put the Thunder in front for good.

Karson Derego scored the third of his match-high three goals in the third period of Saturday's Norris Division fall season championship match, lifting the Lightning over the Kings, 3-2, at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. Derego also scored goals in the first and second periods, the second coming off an assist from Nicholas Thompson. Kyler Scott recorded 25 saves. The Kings received goals from Caden Thompson and Alec Dahl. Michael Peters and Tyler McLuckey each had an assist, and Ethan Higbee had 28 saves.

The Misfits outscored Doesn't Matter by two goals in the final period, which proved to be the difference in a 5-4 victory that gave them the Lemieux Division championship at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. Paul Leigh, Jamie Schlegel and Sean Easton all scored goals for the Misfits in that period, where they outscored Doesn't Matter, 3-1, to overcome a 3-2 deficit. Brooke Easton and Michael Thistle also scored goals for the Misfits and Schlegel, Joel Dapello, Ben Piontkowski and Sean Easton all had assists.

Jacob Gordon scored the final three goals for the Gimps and finished with four in leading his team to a 7-3 victory over the Avalanche in Patrick Division action. The Gimps led the entire way in a postseason playoff match at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. Chas Scott, Mike Moore Jr. and Tyler Estes also scored for the Gimps. Scott, Moore, Drew Bertoni and Hunter Schmidt each picked up an assist. Damian Raburn scored the first and last goals for the Avalanche, and Andrew Wade scored the other.

Nicole Chittum scored an unassisted goal in an overtime shootout at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach to lift the Blackhawks past the Hawks, 4-3, in the championship game of the Howe Division postseason tournament. It was the second goal of the match for Chittum, whose first goal tied the match at 3-3 and forced overtime. Chittum also assisted the first of two goals by Patrick Moan, which gave the Blackhawks an early, 1-0 lead.

Tanner Chang scored two goals and the Panthers laid claim to the Smythe Division championship by defeating the Sea Wolves, 4-1, at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center. Chang score the first goals for the Panthers, who also received a goal and pair of assists from Dillon Chang. Kevin Cant recorded 20 saves. Nathan Nguyen scored unassisted for the Sea Wolves and Chas Scott had 19 saves. In other division finals: Atom Club Division Raw Steel 10, Bruins 3 Raw Steel outscored the Bruins, 8-1, over the final two periods to get the victory.

Blake Kelly scored three goals as the Stars slipped past the Wings 6-5 in a Patrick Division match at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. Kyle Kelly also scored two goals, and Matt Gattis and Eric Freese each had an assist. Timothy Francis came up with 21 saves for the Stars. Matty Nolan scored three times for the Wings, and Bradley Grote scored twice. Aaron Fulmer picked up two assists, and Matthew Duran had 25 saves. In other Patrick Division matches: Timberwolves 8, Kings 4 Blake Easton and Eric Lyon tied for game-high scoring honors with three goals apiece as the Timberwolves doubled up on the Kings.
