Fountain Valley police are looking for a man believed to have stolen computers from a business in January. Seven Apple computers were removed last month from a business in the 17000 block of Newhope Street, and a man was seen driving away from the scene in a silver Ford Explorer or silver Nissan Pathfinder, police said. Huntington Beach resident Terry Burnham posted a video of an apparent theft from his porch to YouTube in hopes of gathering more information about the alleged crime. The crime reportedly took place May 10 on Oceanridge Drive in the Brightwater community. Burnham has filed a report with police, and officers have visited his home twice, but he said he doesn't know yet if they will be able to get a license plate number from any of the cars in the video. Lt. Mitch O'Brien said there has been no increase in porch theft reports lately.

Huntington Beach police arrested a suspect linked to the theft of an expensive bicycle from the downtown area over the weekend. Matthew Hewes, 38, of Las Vegas was taken into custody Tuesday on suspicion of grand theft and possession of burglary tools, Lt. Gary Faust said. Officers were flagged down around 8 a.m. Tuesday by a person who told them of a possible sighting of the man near Main Street and Walnut Avenue. The Police Department had posted on its Facebook page an enhanced photo from surveillance footage of the person, described as a 6-foot-tall white man with dark hair and a receding hairline.

A Huntington Beach man has admitted to stealing ATMs, containing thousands of dollars in cash, across Orange and Los Angeles counties. Richard Allen Clements, 50, pleaded guilty in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday to one count of grand theft. Ten days earlier, Clements pleaded guilty in Orange County Superior Court to three charges of grand theft and three charges of felony vandalism related to ATM thefts in that county. Los Angeles prosecutors say Clements would place straps around ATMs, attach them to his truck and drive off - ripping the cash machines out of stores.

As students in Marina High School's Endeavors program sat down to a turkey feast on Friday, they gave thanks for family, friends and a Thanksgiving meal that almost wasn't. The 22-pound turkey, mashed potatoes and green bean casserole steamed on the serving table ready to be eaten after a Grinch-like burglary about three weeks earlier had nearly robbed the students of their holiday celebration. Mike Rumford, a teacher in the special-education program, which is for students with autism, said his classroom and at least four other bungalows where the program is housed were broken into.

Some items reported stolen from a Robinwood Little League storage container have been found, according to a news release from the Huntington Beach Police Department.
