These people were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant. Jose Paul Corona A Santa Ana jury sentenced 28-year-old Jason Abhyankar, a former Huntington Beach teacher, to 24 years in prison for child molestation. Abhyankar, a former Surf City resident and elementary school teacher, was sentenced last week after being convicted in March of three counts of child molestation. He was convicted of molesting three male students while he was a teacher in Huntington Beach and Trabuco Canyon, said Susan Schroeder, deputy district attorney and spokeswoman for the Orange County District Attorney's Office.

Angelique Flores A pretrial hearing for the case against former Village View Elementary School teacher Jason Abhyankar is set for Friday in Superior Court Central Justice Center in Santa Ana. Abhyankar, 27, was arrested in April 2000 on four alleged counts of molestation. At the time he was teaching fourth grade at Portola Hills Elementary School in Trabuco Canyon. A boy in Abhyankar's class at the Portola Hills allegedly complained about improper behavior by the teacher.
