An unidentified Huntington Beach man died Sunday in Long Beach Memorial Hospital after an apparent traffic collision Saturday afternoon. The 67-year-old bicyclist was found near Warner Avenue on Greentree Lane by the Huntington Beach Police Department after a passing motorist saw the man and called the authorities. The man suffered head injuries after falling off the bike. He was not wearing a helmet, Lt. Russ Reinhart said. “We are not sure what he collided with and there are not witnesses,” Reinhart said.

Petrimoulx, 67, was found alongside his bicycle near Warner Avenue on Greentree Lane by the Huntington Beach Police Department after a passing motorist saw him and called the authorities. Petrimoulx suffered head injuries after falling off the bike. He was not wearing a helmet, Lt. Russ Reinhart said. “We are not sure what he collided with and there are no witnesses,” Reinhart said.

Police have identified a man killed early Friday morning in a traffic collision in Huntington Beach. Resident Michael Richard Berry, 61, was driving a red 1989 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck westbound on Garfield at 5:12 a.m., when he collided with a blue 1996 Audi A4 at Main Street. Berry was treated at the scene, then transported to Huntington Beach Hospital, where he died. Police said the Audi driver, 24-year-old Thomas Taylor of Tucson, Ariz., suffered minor injuries and was not taken to the hospital; no charges have been filed at this time.

The Huntington Beach Police Department is looking for witnesses to a traffic collision that happened early Monday at Magnolia Street and Yorktown Avenue. A green, 1996 Honda Civic collided with a white Suzuki motorcycle at about 6:25 a.m., according to a news release issued by the department. The 18-year-old woman who was driving the car was not injured, but the motorcyclist was treated at the scene and transported to UCI Medical Center for serious injuries, the release said.

A Huntington Beach man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after a traffic collision that injured a 29-year-old female motorcyclist. Fountain Valley police responded at 4:30 p.m. to the collision at the intersection of Talbert Avenue and Mt. Washington Street. The motorcyclist was traveling west on Talbert when an SUV made a left turn in front of her and struck her, according to a release from the department. The motorcyclist was ejected onto the sidewalk and suffered a traumatic leg injury.

A Huntington Beach motorcyclist died Sunday in a traffic collision with a car. Richard Ciancone, 58, was pronounced dead at the scene after his 1986 Harley Davidson collided head-on with a red 2007 Honda Element, according to a preliminary investigation by the Huntington Beach Police Department. Ciancone was driving west on Heil Avenue about 1:52 a.m. Sunday in the No. 1 lane toward Bradbury Lane when 19-year-old Nathan Bower of Huntington Beach was driving his Honda Element east on Heil, officials said.

House fire causes extensive damage An Ontario Street fire on Aug. 20, which started in a travel trailer and moved to a residence, may have been caused by an unattended, lighted candle, fire officials said. The fire started at 6:43 p.m., on the 1000 block of Ontario Street, in a travel trailer, which was parked in a carport attached to the home, said Burbank Fire Capt. Ron Bell. While the cause of the fire is still being investigated, the man living in the trailer at the time of the fire said he may have left a candle inside, Bell said.
