Three men were injured when two cars collided at the intersection of Brookhurst Street and Yorktown Avenue on Friday night. Anaheim resident Quynh Tran, 18, was driving a green 1990 Honda northbound on Brookhurst when he collided with Julian Braun, 21, of Costa Mesa, who was driving eastbound on Yorktown. Tran sustained head, neck and lower back injuries and was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange along with his passenger, 23-year-old Anaheim resident Vu Nguyen.

Four people were hospitalized, one in critical condition, after a traffic collision late Thursday night in Huntington Beach. Louis Yates, 57, of Huntington Beach was taken to UCI Medical Center with major head trauma following the accident at 9:10 p.m. at Bolsa Chica Street and Heil Avenue. According to a press release, Yates’ vehicle was traveling south on Bolsa Chica, failed to stop and collided with three stopped vehicles, forcing one of those cars into a fifth vehicle.

A male pedestrian died Monday two days after being struck by a car in Huntington Beach, police announced this morning. The man, identified as William Wigfall, 25, of Oakley, was traveling west across Beach Boulevard south of Cypress Avenue at 12:42 a.m. Saturday when he was hit by an SUV, police said. Police identified the driver as Jinmei Jiang, 37, of Temple City. Wigfall was treated at the scene and transported to UCI Medical Center, where he died two days later, police said.

A 20-year-old man died early Saturday of a single gunshot wound in an attack that police believe may have been gang-related. Shortly after midnight, police got a call from a passerby who reported a man lying in the street between Main Street and Ellis Avenue. Another man around the same age was found on the scene with multiple stab wounds and taken to UCI Medical Center. Lt. Brian Tidrick said the two men, whose names were withheld, had been involved in the same incident. “They were attacked by a group of people,” he said.

Ingela Ringbjer CAR CRASH AT INTERSECTION INJURES FIVE A two-car collision in Huntington Beach on Friday left three teenage pedestrians and both drivers injured, police said. Ryan Donegan, 18, of Westminster, ran a red light at the intersection of Newland Street and Atlanta Avenue at about 1 p.m. and collided into a car driven by Matthew Debate, 22, of Huntington Beach, Huntington Beach Police Sgt. Janet Perez said. The two cars slid sideways and skidded onto a curb, hitting the three girls at the northwest corner of the intersection, Lt. Luis Ochoa said.

Bryce Alderton Three teenage girls form Huntington Beach were killed late Tuesday when their car was struck by a suspected drunk driver, police said. Jillian Baedeker, 19, and Nancy Le, 18, died instantly after a yellow 1983 Ford Mustang driven by 27-year-old James Paul Bell Jr. from Rowland Heights broadsided their 1996 silver Nissan Sentra, police said. The accident occurred just before midnight at the corner of Beach Boulevard and Edinger Avenue.

Huntington Beach police are seeking public assistance regarding the unsolved stabbing of a 15-year-old boy the evening of April 10 near the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort. The victim, who is now in good condition, was near the southeast corner of Huntington Street at Pacific Coast Highway at about 9:30 p.m. when he was attacked by the unknown suspect; police are uncertain which direction the suspect fled. The boy was transported to UCI Medical Center and is doing well. The suspect is wanted for assault with a deadly weapon.

A 14-year-old boy died Tuesday night after he was critically injured several days ago when a pickup truck struck him on Euclid Street near Ellis Avenue in Fountain Valley. Hayden Meier of Rancho Santa Margarita was running westbound across Euclid when a 2007 Ford F-150 traveling southbound struck him, a police news release said. He was rushed to UCI Medical Center for life-threatening injuries and put on life support. He was pronounced dead at 10:10 p.m. Tuesday. The collision is still under investigation, and no cause for the incident has been determined.

Huntington Beach police are trying to track down a man they say stabbed his ex-girlfriend multiple times. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Oscar Garcia, 30, Huntington Beach, should call Det. Sgt. Dave Deirking at (714) 536-5947. Garcia came to his ex-girlfriend’s apartment in the 16100 block of Parkside Drive early Friday and spoke to her at the front door, police said. About 3 a.m. he began slashing at her with a knife, police said. The victim’s roommate tried to fight off the attack and took a minor cut to the hand.
