Huntington Beach police on Wednesday arrested another suspect linked to the disturbance downtown after the U.S. Open of Surfing, according to a news release. Illario Niko Johnson, 18, of Chino, was arrested and booked into Huntington Beach City Jail on suspicion of arson, inciting a riot, participating in an unlawful assembly and refusing to disperse when ordered, according to authorities. Lt. Mitch O'Brien said Johnson resides in Chino but lived in West Covina to play football at his high school during his senior year.

Police arrested three more people this week suspected of participating in the July 28 rioting that broke out after the U.S. Open of Surfing, the Huntington Beach Police Department announced on its Facebook page Saturday. One of the men arrested, Luis Enrique Rodriguez, 18, of Anaheim, “liked” a picture of the rioting when HBPD posted it on Facebook, according to police. Rodriguez allegedly wrote "[expletive] the pigs" on sides of police cars at the scene of the disturbance in downtown Huntington Beach.

The Ocean View Little League Majors All-Star team followed its gameplan to near perfection Monday. In a Southern California Sub-Division tournament game at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley, Ocean View worked though six innings as if it were involved in a chess match , pitting wits and strategies against Canyon Springs. The local 12-year-old All-Stars took the upper hand in the tournament by scoring a 5-1 victory that left Ocean View as the lone undefeated team in the five-team, double-elimination event.
