The Young Guns scored eight goals in the first two periods of play and went on to post an 11-3 victory over the Red Bulls in a Mite Division contest. Four players got into the scoring act for the Young Guns and six others recorded assists. Janien Barber got the win in the net with 23 saves. Colten Daigneault and David Marabella had four goals each. Tyler Lakes scored two goals and Collin Beck scored once. Lakes and Beck each had an assist, Brian Daigneault led the team with three assists and John Webb and Kian Rhodes each finished with two assists.

Peter Skowron netted the only goal in an overtime shootout ? his only goal of the match ? and it turned out to be the title-clincher, allowing the Young Guns to slip past the Puckhogs, 4-3, in the Norris Division postseason championship final Saturday at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. Matthew Manning, Ryan Beardshear and Charley Lowe also scored for the Young Guns. The Puckhogs? scoring included goals by Tyler Donelson, Marlin Liberatore and Amanda Vongries.

The Young Guns scored eight goals over the final two periods and held off one last charge by OCB 93 to squeeze out a 10-9 victory in Pee Wee Club Division play at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. Colten Daigneault scored five of the Young Guns' goals, including the 10th and deciding goal in the third period. Gregory Williams contributed two goals and three assists, Tyler Lakes had two goals and an assist, and Phillip Lyons scored once.

Mike Sciacca, Independent The Sentinels claimed dominance in the Jr. High Division last weekend by scoring the final three goals of their match with the Eagles to post a 4-1 victory in the division's title game at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. Stephen Powers knocked down a pair of goals and assisted another, Lucas Goldwater scored once and Bryan Sakaguchi handed out two assists to pace the Sentinels. Mike Shuttleworth scored off a Michael Burkhardt assist to account for the Eagles offense.

Mike Sciacca, Independent Eight players got into the scoring act Tuesday as the Young Guns took care of their Mite Club Division rival, the Local Boys, by a score of 10-1 at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. Tyler Lakes led the way with three goals, David Marabella, Kian Rhodes and Tyler Bertrand each scored two goals and Collin Beck scored once. Colton Daigneault collected three assists and Marabella and John Webb each had one. Jonathan Floren scored off a Brad Janelli assist for the Local Boys.

The Huntington Beach Surf continues to roll along in Squirt Club Division play, this time defeating the Young Guns, 15-6, in a Squirt Club Division weekend contest played at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. The scoring onslaught for the Surf consisted of four goals and two assists by Taylor Apostol and a four-goal performance by Adam Daley, while Chad Ramsey and Shane Lakes each had two goals and two assists, Kevin Kraus scored once with a pair of assists, Stephen Nelson scored once, and Michael Mongelli added an assist.

Nothing went according to form in the Squirt Club Division postseason tournament. The division's top two teams, the '90 Young Guns and the Eclipse, were expected to meet last weekend for the division championship. But the '91 Young Guns and the Red Blades had other plans, as both upended the top two seeds and instead, met in the title game, themselves. In the end, it was the Red Blades who were left standing as they captured the division championship 8-2. The Red Blades, who finished in third place during the regular season, skated to a 6-0 lead through two periods and were never threatened.

The Red Bulls outlasted the Sharp Shooters in a high-scoring Bantam Club Division match to skate away with a 10-7 victory at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. The teams traded goal for goal after the Red Bulls had taken a 3-1 first-quarter lead. Dario Torres scored four goals to pace the Red Bulls offense. Mark Miller scored three goals, and Kian Rhodes, Jimmy Hocker and Jeremy Jennings each scored once. Hocker topped the team in assists with three.

Balance was the name of the game Tuesday for No Fear, which had six players get into the scoring column during a 12-2 victory over the Scorpions in a Mite Club Division match. Rocco Grimaldi led the charge with three goals and five assists, Jeremy Jennings and Joseph Burkhardt each had two goals and an assist. Steven Koressel scored three goals, Christopher Lowry and Brandon Prince each had a goal and anassist. Kourtney Kunichika came up with 12 saves as No Fear continued to lead the division with a 3-0 record.

Austin Shannon and Sean Easton each scored four goals to lead the Falcons to a 10-0 Mite Division victory over The Rookies at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. Max Devries scored the other two goals, and he and Shannon each had an assist to complete the scoring. In other games: HB Xtreme 8, OCB 0 Joshua Gane and Zane Weber each scored two goals to power HB Xtreme. Other goals went to Dylan Miller, Colby Rios, Travis Beckman and John Sacco.

Conspiracy scored the final three goals of its Campbell Division match against the Red Wings on Saturday to come away with a 4-2 victory at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. Raphael Pizarras and Jeremy Morgan posted goals before Alex Green scored consecutive goals to finish off the scoring for Conspiracy. Andrew Green had an assist and Jackson Wozniak came up with 21 saves. Kameron Christi scored both Red Wings goals. Chris Mauger had an assist and Adam Lang recorded 22 saves.

Garrett Felix scored four goals and Preston Yamasaki netted three others to lead the Revolution past the Rink Rats, 10-5, in a Norris Division match at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. Felix did all of his scoring in the first two periods, getting two goals in each period. Yamasaki opened the scoring in the match and also had a goal in the final two periods. Jordan Reichenbach scored twice and Katrina Manalac once to close out the scoring for the Revolution.

Drew Truxaw and the Conspiracy defense played shutout hockey while the offense scored in each period in a 3-0 Campbell Division victory over the Rangers at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. In other Campbell Division action Lightning 3, Mad Dogs 1 The Lightning put the game away against the Mad Dogs when Joel Steele scored an unassisted goal with 1:15 to play. Lightning Blades 3, Jaguars 1 A 2-0 start to the match proved to be the difference for the Lightning Blades in their win over the Jaguars.

The Flames jumped out to a 3-0 first-period lead on the Revolution and turned that quick start into a 5-3 Norris Division victory at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. Scott Jervik scored twice and had an assist, and Peter Skowron also had two goals to pace the Flames. Matthew Bird also scored, and Dane Peterson had an assist. Matthew Manning registered 16 saves. Garrett Felix, Riley Dix and Katrina Manalac scored for the Revolution. Joey Lambur and Stephen Kim each had an assist, and Ricky Meyer had 21 saves.

The Snipers opened up a three-goal lead in the second period and used that advantage to take down the Red Bulls, 7-3, in Bantam Division play at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach. Leading the Snipers in scoring were Matt Korn and Jordan Bennett with two goals each. Ben Piontkowski, David Schenker and Justin Cutchon each scored once. Eric Grant was in on two assists and Korn, Bennett, Schenker and Michael Gutierrez each had an assist. Christopher Corona recorded an astounding 51 saves.

Goals by Cassie Moan and Konnor Schnack in the first period, followed by scores by Christa Renfrew and Joel Steele in the second, gave the Stars their 4-0 cushion. Both teams scored a single goal in the final period as Schnack netted one more for the Stars and Trent Berkenkamp for the Jaguars. Steele also had an assist and Justin Pichedwatana recorded 11 saves.
